Intersolar Europe 2011: SCHOTT Solar continues to grow in a challenging environment

• Solar manufacturer reports positive business developments for the first two quarters of 2011
• Production capacity doubled to 870 megawatts

Mainz / Munich, 8 June 2011. The current financial year (1 October 2010 – 30 September 2011) has been positive for SCHOTT Solar in 2011 as well. The solar company from Mainz reports significant market successes and continues to follow an ambitious cost path. Through the joint venture with Hareon Solar in China, the solar manufacturer has more than doubled its production capacity compared to the previous year, to 870 megawatts (MW). International sales have been further expanded. The photovoltaic project business has been established successfully in the market. SCHOTT Solar has thereby developed new distribution channels and significantly increased its sales volume. Outstanding test results from independent institutes have confirmed the role of the company as a quality leader.
