There are two fixed constants in solar energy: the sun and the solar energy plant that turns solar energy into electricity. That the sun shines every day is guaranteed. That the solar energy plant provides the desired performance and energy yield is also guaranteed, by SCHOTT Solar. Thanks to the linear performance warranty.
This means: we guarantee an additional cumulative power output of 6% over 25 years, compared to most other PV manufacturers. For a 1 MW PV installation in California, that translates into an estimated value of $293,000.*
The high performance stability of our solar modules is achieved by highest quality standards, worldwide test stations with extremely strict test criteria – and is confirmed in long-term studies of the independent Fraunhofer Institute.
* Based on utility rates per the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), 3% annual inflation in utility rates, and a system capacity factor per pvwatts.org.
- SCHOTT Solar provides a 25 year warranty on glass-foil modules.

- At least 97% output during the first year of performance
- 0.7% reduction of power output per year for years 2 to 25
- This guarantess more than 90% of nominal power output after 10 years and more than 80% after 25 years
