Highly specialized - SCHOTT Solar Wafers

The process of manufacturing silicon wafers used for photovoltaic modules begins with the ingot. Silicon ingots are grown by melting and crystallizing highly-pure silicon, which is then cut in the blocking process into “bricks.” These silicon “bricks” are then processed into wafers. These steps ensure our wafers achieve a low breakage rate.

By using high-quality raw materials and our crystal-growing knowedge, SCHOTT Solar can produce continuous ingot crystal growth at an industrial scale.

SCHOTT Solar silicon bricks use cutting-edge technology enabling low cutting losses and high quality. The manufacturing process has a fully automated, 100% inspection of wafers and a thorough, certified quality assurance system.
